Last night we had dinner with Madi, the person who arranged our tour of Buenos Aires. If you ever plan to come here, we highly recommend talking with her about your plans -
www.baculturalconcierge.com. She took us to a great restaurant El Obrero where the locals gather to eat. We had calamari, eggplant, pasta, and an excellent flan for dessert. The place was crowded and noisy but you knew you were eating real food.
Today we wondered the area around the hotel on our own. We did some shopping, wondered around the cemetary, and had a good lunch at a place called Roux and had an excellent calamari risotto.
This afternoon the hotel had a "Tango, Wine, & Cheese" which allowed us to enjoy good wine and cheese while watching the Tango.
Buenos Aires reminds me of Mexico City -- I particularly like the photo of the restaurant full of locals. Looks like fun. Keep the photos coming.
ReplyDeleteI haven't spent any time in South America -- looks like I've been missing something.
